Empowering PAs through experience.

With 16 years of experience in clinical practice and education, I provide tailored support for those navigating PA school and transitioning into professional life.

I started my PA career at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville as a Civil Engineer. I quickly learned that my passion was with helping people through the gift of healing. I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I attended Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania, graduating with my Master's of Medical Science in 2008.

Professionally, I practiced full-time as a PA from 2008 through 2019. I have worked in various specialties including Reproductive Endocrinology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, and Orthopedic Surgery.

My career in PA education started in 2018 at the University of Washington's Northwest MEDEX PA program in Anchorage, Alaska. I facilitated the opening of the first PA program in the state of Hawaii. Since 2020, I have been with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse- Gundersen-Mayo-Marshfield PA Program as a full-time faculty member and, recently, as the program director.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in rural Wisconsin where I developed a love for animals and being outdoors. My values are deeply rooted in community. I am grateful to have had the opportunities to live and work in Alaska, Hawaii, Wisconsin, Illinois, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.

I currently live in Wisconsin with my English Springer Spaniel, Geo, and a lionhead-lop eared rabbit named Roary.

In my free time, I am an avid outdoors-woman. In the summer you'll find me hiking, mountain biking, and swimming. In the winter, I enjoy cross-country and downhill skiing along with winter biking. I camp year-around. I also have a love and appreciation for all things art. I support all forms of artistic expression including live music, theater, fashion, and architecture.

I have found that a spiritual practice is foundational to my well-being. I have practiced yoga for over 20 years and became a 200-hour trained yoga teacher in 2019. I have enjoyed sharing this gift by incorporating mindfulness and self-care measures into my classrooms.
